High Point Kombucha's Expansion

In early 2019 Laura Valasakos, owner of High Point Kombucha, signed her first lease at Bridgeworks Enterprise Center. In 2022 Valasakos applied to and was accepted into AEDC’s incubation program. That same year she expanded her company into the neighboring space and never looked back. Since more than doubling her square footage, she has installed a walk-in cooler, doubled fermentation volume (with room to further expand), added a canning line with storage for pallets and is now looking to add 3 Brite tanks in the near future.

“My main goal from the beginning was to brew kombucha that is healthful and approachable in all aspects, says Valasakos, “I started the company because I’ve had bad experiences with kombucha myself, and I wanted people to know that it doesn’t have to be like that.”
